Video, VoIP and Network Integrator Videonations markets Videopresence as ‘The Versatile Telepresence Solution’. It delivers high definition communications over the raw internet as a result of unique technology created by innovative HD video communications manufacturer LifeSize and connectivity solutions from leading telecom provider Fluidata.

At the touch of a button, Videopresence seamlessly transforms into a normal videoconferencing system able to communicate with standards-based systems anywhere in the world. This easy to use videoconferencing solution delivers a 4-way High Definition multipresence, operates via an embedded touch screen or as a fully managed service. Since it uses the internet, this solution doesn’t require an additional private network to be implemented - unlike other videoconferencing products available on the market.

“As organisations face increasing pressures to reduce costs and consider their environmental impact, businesses are searching for high quality and cost-effective means for keeping in touch and recreating that feeling of in-person interactions,” said Andreas Wienold, director of EMEA sales at LifeSize. “Added to this, technology now has to be scalable to meet ever-changing needs of the workforce. That’s exactly what this partnership will enable customers to achieve.”

Adrian Hancock, Technical Director at Videonations states "We developed this product to provide an immersive telepresence experience using standards based technologies in order to extend telepresence to middle-managers and the like. Increased utilisation significantly reduces travel and associated carbon costs thus improving Return on Investment."

Ian Carter, Managing Director at Videonations: “Videonations is the only partner of LifeSize in Europe to have telepresence demonstration facilities in two distinct locations - Manchester and London. Plans for a New York suite are currently underway.”

Piers Daniell, Managing Director of Fluidata states “Videopresence represents a telecom first for the industry, by creating an effective yet versatile video conferencing solution which runs via the internet, rather than relying on expensive private networks such as Cisco’s ‘Telepresence’ and HP’s ‘Halo’. Also, since companies already have the internet in place, this provides an immediate cost saving element for them.”
