Multi site meetings

Multi-point Conferencing enables the simple set-up of your videoconference connection with three or more locations (Multipoint or Multi Site) at the same time.

Essentially a multi site call can be initiated in three ways:
1) Internal Hardware – built in multipoint capability for your own system.
2) Your own Bridge MCU – from 5 to 100 sites.
3) Bridge from a service provider - Pay as you Go model or fully Managed Service.

It is becoming increasingly common for our customers to hold a videoconference with a number of locations at the same time; for example with a Supplier in London and a Purchasing Manager in Birmingham and an IT Manager in Glasgow. For this simultaneous connection, a so-called bridge or MCU (Multi Conference Unit) is required. Many Videoconference systems offer this as an optional facility, with the capability of connecting 4 – 12 sites via ISDN or IP connections.

For larger Video end point deployments, companies and organisations may require a more substantial facility – such as their own MCU (Multi Site Conference Unit). Purchasing of one of these powerful full multimedia MCUs, is a substantial investment for your company or organisation, which requires planning, training, integration and support.

Investing in your own bridge can deliver the following:
• Any Application - Voice/Video/Data/Web/Instant Messaging
• Any Network/Any Protocol
• Any Conference Type - On-Demand or Reserved
• Any Connection - any endpoint, any device at any speed
