RADVISION Video Conferencing and Telepresence solution receives US Federal Government Approval

RADVISION Ltd, a video conferencing conferencing and telepresence supplier, have announced they have received Unified Capabilities Approved Product List (UC APL) certification from the United States Department of Defense (DoD) for the SCOPIA Elite 5000 Series MCU.  The SCOPIA Elite 5000 hosts multi-party video conferences connecting high definition, immersive telepresence and mobile video conferencing and telepresence devices. The UC APL certifies that the SCOPIA Elite 5000 has passed a demanding set of security-based information assurance and interoperability tests administered through the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), ensuring the solution can be placed on the DoD Network.

JITC is the only interoperability certification authority for the DoD and tests information technology and national security systems for interoperability.  JITC has the capability to replicate strategic and tactical joint architectures and provides a single source for evaluating video conferencing and telepresence systems for military programs and commercial vendors.

The SCOPIA Elite MCU provides the highest quality of  interoperability and is the best multi-vendor, multi-stream telepresence solution in the industry.  With it’s Telepresence Interoperability feature the SCOPIA Elite MCU enables multi-party video conferencing with telepresence systems from leading brands such as Cisco, Logitech/LifeSize, Polycom and Tandberg telepresence and all standards-based video conferencing systems.  Users of standards basedvideo conferencing systems see telepresence participants in a video layout where multiple video streams are combined into a single panoramic image.
