Logitech has announced its acquisition of personal and mobile video conferencing supplier, Mirial.
The acquisition will result in Logitech’s LifeSize video conferencing division expanding its product range and will enable them to compete in the mobile video conferencing and mobile telepresence markets.
As well as announcing their acquisition of Mirial, LifeSize have also announced the launch of their new cloud based video collaboration platform named LifeSize connections. This allows users to connect over video without the need for on-site video conferencing infrastructure. LifeSize Connections will allow them to compete in the growing video conferencing service and cloud based market.
To support their launch of LifeSize Connections, LifeSize will release a new video conferencing endpoint called LifeSize Passport Connect enabling them to bundle together a cost effective, cloud based solution.
