Polycom is acquiring HP’s visual collaboration business
unit including the Halo products and Managed Services business. The announcement was made on the Polycom UC Webcast at 16:00 BST.
As part of Polycom acquiring the visual collaboration business unit they have also established a strategic relationship where Polycom will be HP’s exclusive provider of telepresence and video conferencing.
Polycom’s video conferencing applications will be made available for HP’s WebOS platform and Touchpads.
Polycom expects the acquisition of HP’s visual collaboration business unit to close in Q3 2011.
